Blood, Sweat, and T-Shirts
I've been watching the new (new to me, lol) show by BBC called Blood, Sweat, and T-Shirts OnDemand (all you UK people have seen this like, 2 years ago but it's new to an American like me :-/). It's a show that follows a group of 6 young fashionable Brits that did the laboring jobs lower class people in India do to make our clothes. It really opened my eyes on a lot of things, mainly sweatshops and things along that line. Definitely check this out if you can.
In other news, Vogue apparently has a new app that basically compiles all of their ads from the magazine into an app. In this app you can redirect yourself to the website of the clothes featured in the ad. To me it seems like a great idea that I hope they take international ;).

RIP Alexander McQueen

The Brothers Grimm editorial featuring work by Alexander McQueen (RIP)
Fall 2009--NY TIMES (Serge Girardi, Fashion Editor & Matthew Brookes, photographer)
[Via; ORIGINAL SOURCE]
Last night I went to see the opera Pagliacci. It had an amazing cast and the symphony was excellent. It amazes me how beautiful and emphatic (thank goodness for Thesaurus.com...) their voices were. I love Minnie Riperton's (who studied Opera) music and her great voice so I think that made me even more interested in opera singing.
For those of you who don't know, Pagliacci is an opera about a man who has a profession as a clown/actor, just like his wife. He's a famous clown (yeah--bigger than Bozo, lol) and his life mirrors the life of the clown's, but with a more intense ending. I don't want to give it all away, though.

Snow Day
No school today! So I spent my day sleeping in and sketching random stuff... Nothing too exciting =/.
Lent started today and I'm going to use this as an opportunity to stay driven and motivated. I could always be more driven/motivated.
Beef & Broccoli for lunch. Yeah, haha...I got hungry.
My cow/lamb I made wanted to pose for a pic.
End of random post. ;)

'Think of XLIV Reasons Why I'm Me.
Uhm... yeah, lol.
Ahh! 'Missing Superbowl XLIV right now, I better go. :)
I haven't been on this blog it's almost foreign to me.
Probably cause I'm broke right now and the thought of shopping depresses me, haha... I'm the type of person that needs to have her own source of income, not relying on others for money so, this is weird for me.
Maybe you'll see some of clothing that I create in the future, lol. I'll definitely work on that, especially since I've been sketching pieces since 4th grade and I've never brought any of them to life. With the help of my talented artistic mom, of course ;).
