We never know for sure where we're headed until we get there.
We don't know who we're going to meet on the way but we hope to be inspired by them.
Those who seek inspiration from the littlest things are destined for success.
Those who seek inspiration from the littlest things inspire me to make my own way (...where ever that may be).
We may not know for sure where we're headed, but we know we'll get there on time.

Hm...Who To Trust, Who To Trust...
I feel like I should have a mickey-fickey (Do The Right Thing reference--hah) reality show where I go through contestants to see who I should trust because it seems like I can't trust anyone lately.
Call me old-fashioned but I don't get how family could betray family over something so small to them. Life goes on.
You can probably see the anger in this set, lol. I'm not afraid of wearing my heart of my sleeve when it comes to fashion and art in general. I mean, it is meant to be an expression of you're inner thoughts, right?
Oh yeah-- and I seriously want that black power fist necklace. I've mentioned them before but I love GoodWood

Anybody Out There? / What I've Been Up To
Wow. It's been about... 2 months. Give or take. I know, I'm sorry I've been so negligent but I have good reason, I assure you.
I signed up for an Early College Course that I'm going to get college credit for. It doesn't sound fun, but I can't wait, lol. It's a Business course and considering this is the only thing I'm sure I want to do when I get older, it's a good start. I don't get how MalibuMara can juggle school, a blog, and everything else she does. I think I might need to start taking notes.
I've also been working on that clothing line of mine...did I mention that on here? Oh yeah, that was the "surprise" I've been working at on and off (but mostly off...) for the past few months. When I first announced it I had the blog, email, designs, and business number (it was CUSTOMIZED people! haha) all set up. What I didn't know was that my clothing line's name was a little bit too similar to another clothing line. I kind of ditched the name and decided to start all over after that. The website (ok, blog) I'm working on now is up and running, and the clothes are going to be posted as soon as I figure out what I'm doing, lol. Until then, I think I'll save myself from future embarrassment by waiting to post the link. It's going to be reaall nice, though. ;)

Knock on Wood
I really like finding new products/stores that I like. I also really like sharing those brands with you guys. Which is what I'm about to do, lol.
Good Wood is a company that makes all types of stuff like necklaces and sneakertags out of wood. Yup, wood. I don't want to get technical, but the detail is... exquisite.
So when you can, check out the site HERE and definitely check out THE GALLERY .

My Life Is...
It seems like since Spring Break is just about finished, everyone is starting to talk about what they're going to do this summer before junior year.
Some are going traveling, some plan on chilling on a friend's boat all summer, and some aren't doing anything.
Me? I'm getting to work.
Doing a little bit of everything: Getting a job (gasp!), doing sports, acting, helping out in the community, and of course a little art/designing.
This is so cheesy but recently I've been asking myself a lot of questions, and they've got me wondering. What do I really want to pursue as a career? Is this something I want to do for the rest of my life & love it despite everything? How will my career help better the world?
Maybe I'm over-analyzing everything, lol. I just want to make sure where I'm going, is where I should be. :)
Until next time...♥

Blood, Sweat, and T-Shirts
I've been watching the new (new to me, lol) show by BBC called Blood, Sweat, and T-Shirts OnDemand (all you UK people have seen this like, 2 years ago but it's new to an American like me :-/). It's a show that follows a group of 6 young fashionable Brits that did the laboring jobs lower class people in India do to make our clothes. It really opened my eyes on a lot of things, mainly sweatshops and things along that line. Definitely check this out if you can.
In other news, Vogue apparently has a new app that basically compiles all of their ads from the magazine into an app. In this app you can redirect yourself to the website of the clothes featured in the ad. To me it seems like a great idea that I hope they take international ;).

RIP Alexander McQueen

The Brothers Grimm editorial featuring work by Alexander McQueen (RIP)

Last night I went to see the opera Pagliacci. It had an amazing cast and the symphony was excellent. It amazes me how beautiful and emphatic (thank goodness for Thesaurus.com...) their voices were. I love Minnie Riperton's (who studied Opera) music and her great voice so I think that made me even more interested in opera singing.
For those of you who don't know, Pagliacci is an opera about a man who has a profession as a clown/actor, just like his wife. He's a famous clown (yeah--bigger than Bozo, lol) and his life mirrors the life of the clown's, but with a more intense ending. I don't want to give it all away, though.

Snow Day
No school today! So I spent my day sleeping in and sketching random stuff... Nothing too exciting =/.
Lent started today and I'm going to use this as an opportunity to stay driven and motivated. I could always be more driven/motivated.
Beef & Broccoli for lunch. Yeah, haha...I got hungry.
My cow/lamb I made wanted to pose for a pic.
End of random post. ;)

'Think of XLIV Reasons Why I'm Me.
Uhm... yeah, lol.
Ahh! 'Missing Superbowl XLIV right now, I better go. :)
I haven't been on this blog it's almost foreign to me.
Probably cause I'm broke right now and the thought of shopping depresses me, haha... I'm the type of person that needs to have her own source of income, not relying on others for money so, this is weird for me.
Maybe you'll see some of clothing that I create in the future, lol. I'll definitely work on that, especially since I've been sketching pieces since 4th grade and I've never brought any of them to life. With the help of my talented artistic mom, of course ;).

Happy MLK Jr. Day
I have sooo much work to do today:
3 projects, 4 assignments, and 1 reading all due tomorrow (despite the fact I've been working all weekend).
If you're like me, and have a bunch of homework, be sure to make at least a few minutes to celebrate this holiday. Martin Luther King Jr. died trying to get rights and equality for all of us.

Was I the only one completely shocked to discover Lenny Kravitz and Michael Jackson did a song together?
I ever since I saw Michael's big reunion concert back in 2001 and seeing him perform with Slash I thought it would be cool to see him and Lenny do a song (I was the musically-inclined 7-year old who wrote in her journal about directing a band or symphony) so I was glad a few days ago when I found out they did a song together.
According to Lenny, though, the unfinished version of the song was leaked like a few other songs Michael Jackson worked on previously. It makes you wonder how many songs he's written that we haven't heard...
Anyway, here's the video (it may not be up for long, though, Sony's working on pulling the song from the internet--which is next to impossible...just sayin)...I just hope no more songs Michael Jackson worked on get leaked, it's not right for people to do that--there's gotta be a reason he didn't release them to the public.

UPDATE: The song, Another Day was meant to be released on MJ's 2001 album Invincible, supposedly
