After a long day of shopping and finding absolutely nothing, I discovered Comcast deleted more than half of my DVR recordings, including the Michael Jackson Memorial Service, Saawariya, an entire season of Ugly Betty (which pissed me off even more because Adam Rodriguez guest starred in 3 episodes), the Devil Wears Prada, America's Best Dance Crew Season 3, the recent season of 90210 (don't judge me), and Step Up 2: The Streets, along with a bunch of other stuff.
WTF Comcast...Do you hate me?! I doubt I'm going to be able to get all this t.v. gold back...tsk, tsk
I realllyyy wanted to watch Saawariya today, too. If you've never seen Saawariya, it's this Bollywood movie (in Hindi--thank God for subtitles) that has this cheesy, loving sentimental touch to it, but I can't help but absolutely love it. The background of the movie is so different and unique, one of my favorie things about the movie.
Sheesh...is it wrong that I can't stop watching this video? This is a pretty old video but I just recently rediscovered it when I got the sheet music for the song a few days ago and I fell in love with it all over again ;).

I needed a little inspiration for tennis gear, ha. Next Spring might be my first year of tennis--hopefully my skills aren't too bad and I'll make the team. I'm pretty athletically declined when it comes to some things. Especially soccer. It seems everytime I play, I end up pulling a Charlie Brown and falling over the ball (at least you have an excuse, Charlie Brown, I trip over the soccer ball on my own...lol)
Also while on Style.com, I read Abercrombie & Fitch might be bought by François-Henri Pinault’s PPR fam. To me, the idea sounds like a bad one--A&F is too overhyped and unoriginal. If Abercrombie & Fitch step it up in a big way, they might be able to hold their name next to labels like "Gucci, Alexander McQueen, and Stella McCartney"; but barely--and it'll take more than a lot of work.
Lol. I think the title of this fits soo perfectly with my life right now and hopefully that'll change soon.
School started last week and it was alright. I'm taking an art class now so that helps me wind down especially after almost punching someone for talking about my deceased cousin--too much info?? Sorry, like I've said before, I prefer to be honest and straight up. ...So if I ever talk about how much I dislike my school, now ya know ;)

The VMA's are TONIGHT!! So of course I'll be following the fashions/wins of the night as soon as I see them--via my television screen haha....--And you just know something juicy is going down with a host like Russell Brand...
I find it so hard to loathe him like a lot of people do. He's honest and has his own style...what's wrong with that?
Hey guys, sorry for not posting too often but with school and another death in the family, I really had to redirect my priorities for a minute.
I will try to find to post from time to time in the future, but honestly how f***ed up everything is around here I need to take some time off from the blog.
All of the pics I can find at the moment...We pretty much walked ALL of Chicago and the mall a few times while we were there. I found some nice jeans, some shirts, and my latest addition to my growing collection of kicks, my Nike Sweet Classic Leather low-kicks....in black/white, to keep it simple. ;)
We kicked it at the Navy Pier for a while, too [it's a huge tourist attraction w/ a bunch of stores, but we just went 2 eat McDonald's, lol]--and it only cost $24 to park! Haha, that was crazy....
All-in-All I had a great time, from walking around frantically on State St to the crazy employees at our hotel, Chicago was amazing.
For a couple of days I'll be in Chicago w/ my cousins & others....
We're headed out to Chicago for shopping and, of course, POPCORN!
I LOVE the Garrett Popcorn Shop's Garrett Mix popcorn, so I'm definitely stopping by one of the shops for a bag of it!
Mannn, I'm so geeked about this trip since I haven't been to Chicago in over a year. I'm leaving for my cousin's house tonight but we're leaving for Chicago tomorrow morning ;)

Sooo I'm looking in my September issue of Elle magazine, and it's really got me thinking about back-to-school shopping, which being the procrastinator I am, I haven't finished yet =/. I haven't opened my Marie Claire yet, but maybe the little shopping supplements attached to it'll help me out with my B2S shopping....

From Stila's Indian Summer Collection, it's the Stila Gold Shimmer 24 Carat Gloss! I chose the Golden Charm gloss & I already love it! Although they are limited edition you can still probably find them online. The gloss is infused with 24 kt gold leaf & shimmery pearl, and since gold is an antioxidant, this gloss almost has me sold!
Although, there is one problem.....Looking at the list of ingredients , it's apparent that there is carmine in the 24 kt gloss. For those of you who don't know, carmine is pretty much grounded up cochineal beetles used for a bright red pigment. This may be only in the Merlot Gloss, but you have to admit that's pretty gross.
The gloss is amazing, & let's hope the anti-microbial properties of the gold & the lovely vanilla scent in the gloss will make the thought of putting carmine on my lips....disappear.
Just taking a quick break from my vacation to do a little updating :).... We haven't been shopping yet [surprisingly, lol] & right now we're just hanging out at my aunt's house making sure she has everything she needs & talking to this lady whose her nurse & her husband's a graphic designer...

Going through my blog it's clear that I love to do a little bit of everything, creativity wise. Right now I've been focusing on dancing (mainly hip-hop), acting, & baking because I need to improve in those areas--which is why I haven't been posting a lot, lol.
I'm gonna be out of town Saturday-till.....the middle of the week (we're not 100% sure) But I'll be on the computer at the hotel every once in a while so, no worries! ;)
